Shayamoya Roads – Phase 1

ZIYANDA Consulting cc successfully completed the Upgrade of Shayamoya Roads, Phase 1 project under Greater Kokstad Municipality in June 2020. ZIYANDA had been appointed by Greater Kokstad Municipality to provide the following services

• Scoping of the required road upgrade works;
• Preparation of preliminary and detailed designs for the work identified;
• Preparation of tender documentation, inviting contractors to tender for the rehabilitation/reconstruction work;
• Preparation of tender evaluation report to the Municipality on the tenders received with recommendations for award of a contract;
• Supervising the construction works and
• Managing the handover of the works to the Municipality upon completion.
• Close out report with all relevant documentation

The project involved the upgrading of 1.95km of roads to black top surfaced pavement using asphalt consisting of the following roads:

• Road 1
• Road 2
• Road 3
• Road 4

The project will benefit the entire Shayamoya Township in Kokstad town.

The project was constructed at a cost of R11 487 520.85 inclusive of VAT.
